The Reason for the Blog - In Her Own Ink

The reason I started this blog is because I want to capture my marketing plan progress and share ideas with fellow authors. Yesterday and today, I spent several hours emailing my information to newspaper editors.  While my book was being edited, I developed my author media kit. It consists of a few pages and professional pictures looking over my work as an author. Thus, giving book information on all of my seven reads. This took me a few weeks to create. In addition to the portfolio, I made a separate press release and interview Q&A. I feel good about sharing my author media kit. I haven't had any replies yet. I hope that means I developed enough information that covers potential questions. I'm looking forward to seeing results more so in my sales than the actual screen of published images of myself in the newspapers. Tackling the newspapers is just one part of my marketing plan. Ashley Published Her Seventh Book - In Her Own Ink: Strategies for Creating from Author to Author

 For a long time, I dreamed about being an author. A peer in recovery walked me through the steps of self-publishing my first blog book and now I'm assisting individuals with their book-writing.      In 2014, I self-published my first blog book, What's On My Mind? A Collection of Blog Entries from Overcoming Schizophrenia, Volume I, foreword by Christina Bruni. I was fortunate to get recognition from the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network, Inc. when they gave every attendee a copy of my book at their conference in 2014 at St. Simon's Island in Georgia, "The Year of the Peer." They purchased 500 copies of the book.     Currently, I published my seventh book, In Her Own Ink: Strategies for Creating from Author to Author (2025).
